10 TV Universes That Make No Sense
6. Ghost Whisperer
A show about a psychic antique dealer that helps lost souls cross over seems destined for some wacky and confusing plotlines for sure, and the show definitely delivered.
Ghost Whisperer was one of those shows that seemed to rouse enthusiasm through its run, only to disappear into obscurity once it was over. Because of this, not many people have spent time worrying over the show's universe for a very long time. But when the series was on the air, it was definitely victim to insistent interrogation from the fanbase due to the hundreds of questions the series seemed to birth.
There were the obvious plotholes and confusing storylines like Melinda seeming to be the only person in the world that can talk to ghosts, because of how important she is to the evil spirits, even though it's heavily implied that many people share her gift.
The most confusing plotline, however, came when Melinda's husband, Jim, died and took over the body of another man, Sam. Although Melinda always sees her dead husband when she looks at the man, the rest of the world sees Sam. Yet, the tv show seems to forget this fact later on when people start referring to Jim with his old name... even though he's supposed to be dead...
Jim then completely takes his old life back again, marrying Melinda and taking a job as a doctor again, even though Sam is an architect. Yet no one ever says anything about it!
It makes no sense!
