10 Unintentionally Funny Moments In Game Of Thrones

Game of Thrones had a plethora of deaths throughout its eight seasons, and they were often gruesome, emotional, and unexpected. Though Qyburn’s death was certainly the latter, it was also deeply misjudged.

The speed and surprise of his death was what made the scene particularly ridiculous. Almost immediatley after requesting that the Mountain protect his queen, Qyburn was grabbed by the throat and thrown onto the stone steps. This whole scene felt as if the showrunners had accidently forgotten about Qyburn, and were simply looking for a quick way to dispose of him. Indeed, his death came across like a rushed afterthought.

The scene was made still more amusing by Cersei’s reaction. After her initial shock at Qyburn’s death, she preceded to walk past the Mountain without a backwards glance, almost as if nothing had happened.

Amongst the many deaths the show presented over the years, Qyburn’s stands out for all the wrong reasons.
