10 Unique TV Episodes That You Must See
1. Bojack Horseman - Free Churro
An episode that's just a monologue.
To begin one of the most unexpectedly brilliant concepts of all time, Bojack Horseman opens his eulogy for the death of someone close to him. Then he just carries on. For another 20 minutes.
Excluding the cold open, Free Churro is effectively a monologue, a stand-up routine and an episode of television in one. It's Will Arnett's best performance to date and showcases why Bojack Horseman was, is, the most uniquely creative animated show of the 21st Century.
The reason why this episode feels so perfectly suited is that Bojack Horseman is developed as a character who has a lot to say and is arrogant enough to make you listen to him. The creators then force us to listen to him for twenty minutes, in which his persona ranges from sympathetic to egotistical, from heartfelt to naive. All the while keeping true to the comedic foundation that the show rests on.
However, there are too many phenomenal Bojack Horseman episodes to count and my recommendation would be to watch them all.
