10 Unique TV Episodes That You Must See

9. Community - Remedial Chaos Theory

Bojack Horseman
NBC

An episode with multiple timelines.

Another episode of television that delves into different choices and consequences, Community's Remedial Chaos Theory explores multiple timelines based around which character has to answer the door when the pizza delivery guy arrives. Not the first time that multiple timelines are explored in television, but the sheer amount of variation explored, with so much intricate detail, is why this episode is held in such high esteem.

With seven characters in the room, the show presents seven different variations of the same, pretty mundane, situation. Instead of focusing on the person who ends up having to answer the door, this episode is instead a look at the way the relationships and the scenarios play out depending on who is absent. In true Community fashion, the timelines have varying degrees of intensity - from a fire to the group dancing to the Police.

Dan Harmon is is no stranger to bottle episodes; he will often shove the chaotic study group into a closed room in order to build the relationships between the different characters. This one is highly regarded as his magnum opus of concept episodes and one that is adored by the Community fan-base.
