10 Upcoming Comic Book TV Shows You Need To Know About

2. Sex Criminals

If Powers was something completely different...well, Sex Criminals is almost completely undefinable. A couple of weeks ago most would've told you it was unfilmable, too, unless it was on HBO or AMC or some other cable network that doesn't baulk at a less-than-tasteful amount of nudity, bad language, and discussion of increasingly bizarre sexual positions. All of those are integral to Sex Criminals, and yet, it could soon be headed to your TV. Comic book writers and power couple Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick recently signed a deal with Universal which gives the studio a chance to develop any of their creator-owned properties as television series, with Fraction's Sex Criminals (drawn and co-created by internet menace Chip Zdarsky) already in development. The comic concerns a couple who discover that, when they orgasm, time stops. And they take advantage of that power to rob banks €“ specifically the bank to Jon works at, so that Suzie can stop them from foreclosing on her library. Then more €œSex Criminals€ show up, there's some discussion of mental health issues, and dildos go flying. Please let this happen.
