10 Upcoming New HBO Series To Be Excited About
5. Demimonde
One of HBO's more tight-lipped upcoming projects is Demimonde, said to be a new “epic and intimate sci-fi fantasy drama”.
The show will be created by JJ Abrams, the producer-cum-director behind many hit TV shows, including the cult hit, Fringe, as well as Lost, one of the most iconic TV shows of the last 20 years.
From Star Wars to 10 Cloverfield Lane, all of Abrams’ projects have been famously secretive, and little is known about his new project. What we do know is that it will centre on “a world’s battle” with “a monstrous, oppressive force”.
Although created by Abrams, showrunners for the series will be Rand Ravich, Far Shariat and Kira Synder, the latter of which is a writer for the hit TV show, The Handmaid’s Tale.
Hopefully, this one will be a pleasant surprise for HBO.
