Unexpected as it might seem, 2021's highly-anticipated Jurassic World: Dominion won't be the next time that the mighty Jurassic Park franchise graces our screens, for that honour belongs to Netflix's Camp Cretacious.

A joint-venture between the streaming service and Dreamworks Animation, this CGI-animated series is set during the events of the first Jurassic World film as a group teenagers end up stranded on Isla Nublar whenever the Indominous Rex's notorious rampage allows the other dinosaurs to escape. And from there, the six youngsters must work together to find their way back to safety.

Between this and the Battle At Big Rock short film last year, it's nice to see the legendary franchise experimenting with other mediums as it prepares to bring the Jurassic World chapter to an end in the third film. And what makes Camp Cretacious all the more exciting is that Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall will be executive producing, while sci-fi veteran Zack Stentz is also on-board as consulting producer.

To top it all off, there are now rumours that the franchise could be getting a live-action TV spin-off too... hold on to ya, butts folks.
