10 Upcoming TV Shows NOBODY Asked For
3. House Of The Dragon
Five years ago, the prospect of a Game of Thrones prequel series would've been met with unanimous fan approval. Now, though, it just feels like a cynical attempt to cash-in on the popularity of the mainline show.
That's not to say House of the Dragon doesn't have its merits, what with its strong cast, obvious visual splendour and intriguing mythology, but even so it's tough to hear about the series and not think it's come out far too late to capitalise on the colossal popularity of its predecessor.
With the hype around Game of Thrones well and truly drowned, House of the Dragon is even harder to accept when you remember how Thrones' ended, and the fact that the much more promising Lord of the Rings series is set to overlap with its airing schedule.
There'll be things to look forward to, I'm sure, but this prequel is definitely not one folks'll be rushing out to see like HBO is clearly banking on thanks to their almost desperate marketing campaign.
