Broadchurch was an amazing display of acting prowess, cementing David Tennant as one of Britain's best actors and catapulting Olivia Coleman into the stardom that she had long deserved.
Thankfully, the writing matched the talent and put together three of the most gripping seasons of TV in a long time. Even actors and crew were unaware of the final outcome, as the production team used Marvel Studios levels of secrecy to avoid spoilers leaking.
The show opens with the murder of a young child, going on to explore the effects the tragedy has on such a small town. Broadchurch was a huge hit, with brilliant reviews from critics complimenting the brilliant camera work as well as the gripping writing.

Unfortunately, the attempt fell incredibly flat, made worse in part by the decision to make Tennant an American character, rather than reprising his normal role.
