Lori was supposed to be a character that we liked, warmed to, and respected. Instead, she turned out to be one of the most frustrating people on the show. It was annoying because we couldn't really vent our hatred for her. After all, what did she really do that was so offensive?
Sure, she hooked up with her husband's best friend but she also thought her husband was dead. What was she supposed to do? Spend the rest of her life mourning her husband and wearing black like a post-apocalyptic Queen Victoria?
It wasn't so much her motives that were frustrating but her overall personality. She was annoying just for existing. It might sound harsh but what did she really bring to the table? She had no chemistry with her anti-hero husband Rick and she was also to blame for spawning the equally irritating Carl.
Thankfully, we didn't have to deal with her that long as she died during childbirth back in season 3. It was a horrific way to go but it didn't stop us from being secretly pleased as she slowly passed away into the afterlife. Goodbye Lori!
