10 Walking Dead Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off

Paul 'Jesus' Rovia first appeared in the humorous season six episode "The Next World." After venturing on a supply run, Rick and Daryl are tricked by a mischievous Jesus, and thus begins a comical cat and mouse chase episode. Soon after, Jesus revealed the Hilltop to our group and the world of The Walking Dead grew ever so bigger.

A highly trained martial artist, Jesus remained an influential character throughout his time on the show, as he helped Negan's reign come to an end. Following Rick's death and Maggie's exit, Jesus became the new leader of the Hilltop community and he began an openly gay relationship with Aaron. However, Jesus met his demise thanks to the introduction of The Whisperers.

After a plan to disperse a walker herd goes askew, our group discover that certain walkers are behaving erratic. Jesus stays behind to fend off the approaching walkers, but is killed by a Whisperer, resulting in one of the most surprising deaths in the show.

However, very little is known about Jesus pre-apocalypse. Like many on this list, a prequel series would do right to bring back actor Tom Payne, after his premature exit, and give him another chance to dig deeper into Jesus's background at the birth of the outbreak and how he came to be the lovable Jesus of Hilltop.
