Not to be a prude or anything, but is there really any reason for all the nudity and sex in Game of Thrones? It's become less frequent in recent seasons, no doubt because some of the actors have a bit more power, but there does seem to be something of an overcompensating plea to be considered as grown up by Game of Thrones. It's almost as if they're so insecure about there being branded simply as a fantasy show, that they desperately shove in as much nudity and sex in as possible as a way of showing how mature they are. There's nothing wrong with a sex scene per-say, but only if it's done in the right way and for an actual purpose. On occasions it has been used correctly by Game of Thrones, but most of the time they're just shoe-horned in for no real reason other than to give adolescent boys some inspiration. Whilst everything about Game of Thrones is striving towards some sort of recognition as a grown up take on the fantasy genre, so much random nudity just comes across as gratuitous and immature.
