On Veronica Mars: While each season featured Veronica dealing with a major overarching plot to keep her busy, most of the episodes saw her dealing with a variety of mysteries brought to her by fellow students for investigation. With the help of characters such as biker Weevil, hacker Mac, and even pothead Corny, Veronica uncovered mysteries large and small to save the day...and collect a paycheck. On iZombie: While the mythology of iZombie has been occupied by Liv's quest to discover the truth about what caused her zombism and enact justice on those responsible, Liv spends most of her time working on the cases of random murder victims. Adopting their personality quirks as well as their memories, she befuddles her Seattle Police Department partner Clive Babineaux about as often as she helps him. Between her unique input and Clive's investigative savvy, Liv plays an essential role in resolving a plethora of murder cases in Seattle.
