10 Ways The Boys TV Show Is Different From The Comics

5. Kimiko

The Boys Season 3
Dynamite Entertainment

Kimiko is a mute Supe who serves as The Boys' muscle. When she and her brother were children, they were smuggled to the US where they were forcibly injected with Compound V. When Butcher learned Vought intended to turn her into a supervillain for a scheme to militarise The Seven, he agreed to led her join The Boys.

In the comic, the character has no siblings and is only as known as The Female of the Species. Her father was crushed by female sumo wrestler (not sure why that wasn't incorporated into the show) and her mother worked in a Vought-like company in Tokyo. Since the mother was too frugal to pay for a babysitter, she routinely brought the Female to work when she was a baby. One day, the child wandered into another room and fell in Compound V, giving her superstrength.

The comic version of The Female is far less stable and will eviscerate anyone, friend or foe, if they touch her (save for Frenchie). When Hughie tried to reassure her when she was injured, she instinctively snapped his arm in two. She also works as a mafia enforcer to help quench her murderous urges.
