10 Ways To Bring Back Firefly

Part of Firefly's appeal is its epic scale.

Space travel continues to fascinate audiences, and Firefly's unique take on the colonisation of other worlds sets it apart from other similar franchises.

Its Western themes and large scale action, both in and out of the Serenity, would look incredible on the big screen with a big budget and world-class special effects, and it would give Firefly the chance to reach a whole new generation.

If handled sensitively and cast correctly, a Firefly movie reboot could be both a success in its own right as well as a love letter to the original series.

Sound familiar? JJ Abrams did a brilliant job with the Star Trek reboot (lens flare notwithstanding), and could well be the man for the job. That is, of course, assuming that Joss Whedon has had his spirit crushed enough over years by bitter disappointment to pass on the project.

One way or another, Firefly deserves another chance.
