10 Weird Early Performances By The Walking Dead Actors

4. Van Wilder: The Rise Of Taj (Lauren Cohen)

A fun piece of trivia people like to pass around about The Walking Dead's Maggie Greene is actually English and, like Andrew Lincoln, can just do an American accent really, really well. In actuality she was born in the US and moved over to Britain when she was young, but she definitely played up to her adopted homeland with this...comedy? The Rise Of Taj is a sequel to the Ryan Reynolds comedy Van Wilder: Party Liaison, about a permanent slacker who plans to never leave college because he enjoys it too much. Kal Penn was Taj, his sort-of-racist-stereotype sidekick. And...that's it. Reynolds didn't wanna do the sequel, so Penn stepped up! Really, he shouldn't have. Although it did give Lauren Cohen one of her big early parts, as the beautiful teaching supervisor Taj instantly falls in love with having transferred to a college that's definitely not Oxford. They do not have a lot of chemistry.
