10 Weird Horror TV Shows That Are Worth Watching

5. Channel Zero

There’s a lot of good anthology TV series gracing the small screen recently. Some are good and some are excellent! Channel Zero is the latter. It has its similarities to American Horror Story but Channel Zero aims for the more absurd and surreal horror.

Created by Nick Antosca who was behind the creation of the Hannibal TV series, it shares a similar slow-paced and surreal process which makes the viewer feel out of touch and uneasy. The stories come from several CreepyPasta tales which, if you’re familiar with them, should give you an idea as to how disturbing and mystifying Channel Zero is.

There are monsters here, and some of them are deeply grotesque. A thing made entirely of teeth is one of the stand-out atrocities that unsettle and confound the viewer. The normal-looking suburban setting of Season 1 hides a horrifying tale of a children's TV show gone awry.

The empty abandoned buildings with strange doorways unsettle and intrigue in equal measure. Channel Zero is a slow-paced trawl through a nightmare-induced coma brought on by the horrors that lurk in the ordinary and mundane of everyday life.
