3. Lysa Arryn Feeds Her Son Robin
Lysa Arryn was probably the strangest character on the show after the first season. Completely eccentric and relatively unhinged, Catelyn's sister couldn't be more different from the stoic dutiful Stark matriarch. Lysa has one of the most memorable intros on the entire show as we first meet her breastfeeding her eight-year-old son Robin.
Robin the petulant - and not exactly healthy - only son of Jon and Lysa Arryn fell under the overly protective veil of his mother and never grew out of being fed by her. The faces of pure shock and discomfort on Catelyn and Tyrion's faces when they see Robin latched on like a leech breathe a sense of comical lunacy to the scene.
Lysa's delusion that she is making her son strong is humourlessly contrasted with how weak and inept he is. It is the first instance of the show leaning into the absurd and it stands out as a result.
