10 Worst CGI Moments In Star Trek

6. Star Trek Enterprise - Stigma

Star Trek Enterprise
CBS

This is an example of scenery, which is often far easier to render than close up shots of alien races. This cityscape appeared in the Star Trek universe after the beautiful display of the cityscape of Romulus for Star Trek Nemesis.

There is little argument to be had here. The people in the shot are so clearly of Sims quality that it is a wonder why they were even included to begin with. These are far away shots and technically they should be better than the close up issues on display with the two Xindi races or even the Macrovirus from Voyager.

But what seems to be on display is a rush job, put into a scene with the hope of revisiting it at a later stage. Perhaps the production team never got the chance to do this but, honestly, cutting this shot from the episode entirely would probably only serve to improve the scene as a whole!
