10 Worst Doctor Who Episodes Of All Time

9. The Twin Dilemma

While many Doctor's have taken some time for audiences to warm to (Ms Whitaker ain't the only one!), no one has ever received such a demoralising first appearance as the Man from Gallifrey as Colin Baker. While most debut episodes for a 'new Doctor' try to ham up the lighter aspects of the character, The Twin Dilemma bizarrely went in the opposite direction.

Baker's Doctor is everything that the Doctor shouldn’t be - rude, inconsiderate and ridiculously violent. A scene where the Doctor physically attacks his companion, petite Peri, lives on as the most infamous moment in Doctor Who history. Seriously, what on earth were the writers thinking? Sure, they wanted a darker version of the Doctor, but domestic violence? REALLY?

The episode also introduces an excessively over the top costume for The Doctor which makes Baker's interpretation look like a joke. The story ain't much either, with a cheap-looking slug as the 'threat' and annoying bratty children as the focus of the story.

The only good aspect of the episode is the character of fellow Timelord Azmael, who courageously sacrifices his life to save the day. This action just makes one feel even more depressed that he is not the lead and that we are stuck with an annoying violent ghost of the character we once loved.

With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
