10 Worst Doctor Who Prosthetics Ever

2. The Abzorbaloff - Love And Monsters (2006)

Doctor Who Peter Kay
BBC

Nope. It’s Peter Kay

Let’s get this out of the way: the Abzorbaloff was designed by the winner of a children’s competition. As the name suggests the Abzorbaloff absorbs people into his body, and this premise could work if they’d potentially made the story about the monster quietly picking random people off with a bit more of a darker tone. However, the writers went with the campy scooby-doo like script complete with corridor crossing scene.

When we finally see the monster’s true form, after shedding his Victor Kennedy alter-ego, you instantly want to forget it, and I think the odd Mohawk hairstyle makes it worse. The production team could only work with the winning child’s design so there wasn’t much they could have done, but the little appeal this episode had to begin with isn’t helped by the fact this is a Doctor and companion-lite episode and would absolutely be number one on this list had the next entry not had its bizarre twist ending.

John Stothard hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
