10 Worst Episodes In The Stargate Franchise
5. Harmony - Stargate Atlantis
Ask any gamer and they will all agree; escort missions are the worst. No matter the protagonist, once your player character is saddled with a defenceless NPC who moves just slightly too slow, you know you're in for a bad time.
Outside of this digital realm, and far away in The Pegasus Galaxy, Sheppard and McKay find themselves in a similar infuriating situation when tasked with escorting the 13 year old Princess Harmony to a ruined shrine so that she may become queen.
What follows is an hour of irritating complaining and juvenile trickery, as the spoiled little princess attempts to drive a wedge between the Humans for her own entertainment, despite the looming threat of Genii mercenaries hired by her jealous sisters.
Whilst the episode does have a fair amount of peril, and a rare opportunity for McKay to play the hero (even if his revere is a little based oil misunderstanding), any good points ultimately get drowned out by the whine of the stereotypically written Harmony. In an episode of Stargate Atlantis where neither Stargate nor Atlantis appear, its no wonder the whole deal just doesn't feel right.
