10 Worst Friends Episodes

It's time now for the second clip-show of the list, and part of what makes this one of the worst episodes is that the core story is so promising. While The One With Joey's Interview felt like a pointless venture, this one had plenty of potential but was dampened by the decision to feature flashbacks.

The outing centres on Chandler and Monica as they struggle to write their vows four weeks before the big day. They enlist the group's help to get it done and look back on their relationship through flashbacks while writing.

Reminding viewers of Monica/Chandler's relationship before their marriage wasn't a bad idea, but it could have been done way better. Physically showing us their romantic evolution felt more like a recap than a homage to their love, and the writers could have come up with a far more creative way to explore how far they'd come without having to show us.

This one hurts because the core idea of Chandler and Monica writing their vows is sweet and sentimental but ruined by the poor choice to have it be a clip show episode.
