10 Worst How I Met Your Mother Episodes
8. No Questions Asked
Coming in at
the number 8 slot is the first of many episodes from Season 9. Many of the plot-lines which made up the disappointing final season
felt forced, and the main one centred around Marshall and Lily was no
different. Despite Ted being the main protagonist, Marshall often steals the
show as the inherently good and likeable main character who can do no wrong.
Because of this, it was too much of a shock to see him going behind Lily’s back and keeping things from her to the extent that he did, and No Questions Asked really is the pinnacle of his deception.
The episode is one of many which raises flaws in Barney and Robin’s relationship, something the season does in abundance, likely to make the audience more okay with the finale. Having Robin and Barney be independent people in their own right is fine but the show paints it as some disastrous issue they're going to have to work past and it just feels forced.
And the absurd ending of Ted stuck in a mailbox feels like the show's weak attempt at physical comedy.
