10 Worst How I Met Your Mother Episodes

Only a few episodes before Stamp Tramp, this episode encapsulates all of the problems that the later episode has but accentuated tenfold. This showcases the first in a series of antics of Barney trying to get over Quinn. ‘Bangtoberfest’ is a crude event, even for Barney, and especially so when he’s only just broken up with somebody he was about to marry.

If that wasn’t enough, Barney’s selfishness directly impacts Lily and Marshall’s happiness when he has sex with a nanny who they were keen on hiring. Barney might not believe in marriage and commitment, but he’s always cared for the show’s leading couple and him sabotaging them like this feels wrong – even for the typically self-centred character.

On top of that, Ted and Robin squabbling about who has a better relationship while simultaneously pushing all of their problems down might be realistic, but it’s painful to watch at best.
