10 Worst Sci-Fi TV Characters Of All Time

6. Charlie Matheson - Revolution

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Dawn Summers
NBC

Zero electricity would likely put a dampener on civilisation for a fair while. Provided there's still some electricians/engineers etc. still kicking, things should get turned around soon enough though, right?

Wrong.

While Revolution had a potentially interesting premise, it shoots itself in the foot with too many plot holes and perhaps the dumbest lead character in TV (or any medium really) history. It only takes a couple of episodes to find yourself feeling utterly bewildered by Charlie Matheson's complete lack of common sense. Near every episode requires Charlie's uncle Miles to set her straight about her latest easily avoidable catastrophe.

Listing off Charlie's moments of moronic mayhem could be another article (or three) in itself but some of the most glaring include her frequent failures as an undercover anything, getting herself captured and trusting any old acquaintance (read: militia spy) who comes wandering on in to camp.

Show creator Eric Kripke himself acknowledged the first season of the show as a creative disaster. With characters like Charlie Matheson, it's a miracle the show even made it to a Season 2 before its cancellation.
