10 Worst Sci-Fi TV Characters Of All Time

The medical marvel son of vampires Angel and Darla, Connor proved to be a right nuisance from the onset. We can all agree that spending your first eighteen years in a hell dimension would be a dreadful start to life.

As a viewer, you want to sympathise with Connor’s harsh upbringing but his feral behaviour’s just a bit too much. Played by maestro of annoying TV characters Vincent Kartheiser, Connor’s ‘it’s not a phase mum’ style is awful, as is his all consuming, brainwashed hatred of Angel.

Things really jump the shark for the troubled youngster when he gets horizontal with Cordelia, totally shattering any likelihood of that Angel/Cordelia romance the show had been building to for years. Worse still, Connor receives very little evolution during his run, remaining the self-involved adolescent throughout.

Some redemption can be found in the show’s excellent final episode where Connor and Angel share a poignant moment as father and son. Nice as that is, it doesn’t make up for a whole season of Connor dragging everything down the year prior.

Parenthood ultimately didn’t suit the Angel character or the themes of his show. The fact Connor proved to be such an unpleasant presence in the series only exacerbated that issue.
