10 Worst Things Sterling Archer Has Ever Done

Sterling Archer has a complex and uncertain relationship when it comes to fathers, as there are three possible options as to who his is. The two most recognisable are Nikolai Jakov the head of the KGB, and Len Trexler the head of Odin, and over the years Archer has done some pretty bad stuff to both. Indeed, it was Archer leaving his post at the ISIS safe house that lead to Jakov's death at the hands of Barry 'The Bionic Do*chebag' Dylan.

As bad as that is though, it can be argued that what Sterling did to Trexler was even worse.

For starters, even if Archer had been there, it is unlikely that he could have stopped Barry, so while leaving was bad it didn't make much difference, whereas Archer intentionally goes out of his way to mess with Trexler just because he wants to buy ISIS and marry his mother (who by all accounts he genuinely loves).

Oh, and in this context, mess means plant a mind-control chip in his brain and the expose him to a modified Ludovico in order to brainwash him into fearing/hating Malory and cancel the sale. While this works, it ultimately fries Trexler's brain, and by the end of the episode, all he wants is to take home a bunny and some lettuce who he believes are brothers.

Therefore, just because something he didn't like was happening, Archer was willing to fry and manipulate the brain of the man who may be his father.
