10 Worst TV Spin-Offs Of All Time

6. The Golden Palace

That '80s Show
CBS

The Golden Girls was massively successful in its day, due in large part to the chemistry between its four female leads. So, when one of them left after 7 award winning seasons, the idea of continuing without her was unthinkable.

However, starting a continuation/spin off in which the other 3 Golden Girls invest in a hotel in Miami? Yeah, sure, why not?

It couldn't live up to its predecessor, in typical spin-off fashion. Don Cheadle also appeared in the role of Roland Wilson, the hotel's manager, and Cheech Marin played Chuy Castillos, the hotel's chef, but in spite of the solid cast, the show simply didn't work.

It lasted for 24 episodes before being cancelled after 7 months on air.

A sad end for the Golden Girls, and it can only be imagined that they weren't the only ones to lose a fair amount of money in their investment in The Golden Palace.
