10 Worst TV Spin-Offs Of All Time

5. The Green, Green Grass

That '80s Show
BBC One

Only Fools and Horses is widely regarded as a British classic, and has legions upon legions of fans of all ages.

So, when a spin-off was announced, fans of the show were excited.

The character that was chosen to be the lead of the spin-off series was Boycie, who was forced to move from Peckham with his wife and son.

The show begins with Boycie giving evidence against renowned criminals the Driscoll Brothers, except the dangerous criminals walk free and Boycie and his family are forced to leave their hometown and resettle in the Shropshire countryside in an attempt to save their lives. Funny, funny stuff.

The Green, Green Grass was generally well received and enjoyed by fans, but it not only failed to live up to Only Fools and Horses' high reputation, but has been all but forgotten in the years since it aired.

If it hadn't have been a spin-off, it never would have been made. It wasn't particularly funny, nor was it particularly entertaining.

The grass really isn't always greener.
