10 Worst TV Spin-Offs Of All Time

7. The Originals

That '80s Show
The CW

Let's set the scene. You're sitting in a meeting looking over the ratings for your popular vampire show, and somewhere amongst all the celebratory back-patting someone drops the idea to make a spin-off. Fair enough so far.

The spin-off could be about more vampires, right? After all, people love vampires. As an added bonus, we save money on lighting the set because everyone knows how much vampires hate light, and it makes it so much harder for the audience to notice all the over-acting and cheesy line delivery!

There's just one problem... What to call this spin-off? Never mind that this is the first aspect of it that has required any thought whatsoever, let's just come up with a snappy name.

Ooh, how about The Originals?

Ironic title aside, The Originals is plagued by terrible accents and laboured writing.

If you loved The Vampire Diaries, it might be something that interests you. If you didn't, you'll probably struggle to get through the first episode.
