One of the most critically acclaimed series on Netflix is back with a vengeance, and ready to eat into your spare time once again. Millions of people have waited with bated breath to find out what the various inmates and guards of Lichfield Penitentiary have been getting up to in the wake of Vee's many power plays, escape attempt and eventual death and now we are all able to finally find out.

This latest season has continued to highlight the unique humour and dramatic brilliance of the previous two, with a number of old favourites demonstrating a little bit more depth in addition to a raft of new inmates changing the overall dynamic of the prison.

Of course, there were also plenty of moments from the season that simply stand alone and have that all-important wow factor that draws in the viewer and won't let them go until the writers are finished with them.

This is a chance to relive those moments and revelations that left viewers reeling. From the hilariously weird right through to the downright tragic, each of these moments stole the spotlight in their respective episodes and had viewers - and even the occasional Lichfield inmate - wondering just WTF they had just watched.

11. Nicky's Drug Bust

Nicky has always been one of the more intriguing characters in the program, not least because she combines her rampant sexuality with a lust for drugs, with neither urge ever seeming to quite come out on top.

Following what happened to Tricia in the first series, it appeared that Nicky was doing everything that she could to keep herself clean and prevent herself from suffering the same fate. With a bit of help from Red and the other inmates she was doing an awfully good job.

At least until she stole Vee's stash of heroin in revenge for her having attacked Red in the second season.

Early into the third we see Nicky and Big Boo making plans to smuggle the drugs out of the prison, enlisting the help of the always dodgy Luschek to help them shift it on the outside.

Unfortunately, Nicky's demons come back to bite her at the worst time. After Luschek manages to retrieve the stash after it is stolen he takes a little time to discuss what needs to be done with it. Nicky takes the chance to sneak a small baggie away and secure it to the bottom of his desk with gum.

One office search and accusatory finger pointed at her by Luschek later and Nicky was carted off to max, never to be seen for the rest of the season.
