11 Famous Faces You Never Knew Were Doctor Who Fans
2. Peter Jackson
This one won't come as that much of a surprise for the people have been following the ongoing developments regarding his future involvement with Doctor Who (as it currently stands, he's "probably" going to direct an episode at some point in the very near future...), but for those of you who haven't, here it is. Peter Jackson loves Doctor Who. Rather a lot, actually. Proof of that came with his recent revelation that he'd happily helm an episode in exchange for a life size Dalek, which is something that could no doubt be more than easily arranged. As such, the BBC definitely wouldn't have to worry about being forced to blow the entire show's budget on securing his name in the most recent light of The Hobbit's blockbuster movie adaptations, and that's not to mention his multiple Oscar winning Lord of the Rings trilogy that preceded it. Peter has taken on projects of a much lesser scale in his time, too, so there's no question he'd be able to adapt to, and excel in, the confines of a Saturday night BBC teatime drama. What's more, he cast Seventh Doctor star Sylvester McCoy as wizard Radagast the Brown in his Hobbit films, during the filming of which he contributed to Doctor Who's 50th anniversary festivities with a cameo appearance in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot special. Let's hope fans won't have much longer to wait until he's helming his very own adventure for the Time Lord.
