13 years after George Lucas announced plans for Star Wars Underworld, a live-action TV series set in a galaxy far, far away is finally happening.

Set to be a big part of the launch of Disney's streaming service next year, The Mandalorian will follow a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Jon Favreau is writing and producing the series that he created, while the list of directors includes Dave Filoni and Taika Waititi. Reports suggest it'll have a budget of around $100m for its first season, and the early signs are very promising.
