Few episodes are remembered as fondly as Vincent And The Doctor. This episode was unique in that it was less about fighting monsters or saving the universe and more about bringing some light into the dark life of a man who desperately needed it.

Showing Vincent van Gogh that his life was not meaningless and that his paintings would be remembered forever is undoubtedly one of the most meaningful things the Doctor has ever done.
