Ras al Ghul was the overarching villain of Arrows third season, initially coming into conflict with Oliver over the death of Sara Lance, but then being driven by his desire to have him take over as leader of the League of Assassins. However, like a lot of season 3, Ras didn't really come off quite as well as expected, and ultimately fell a little bit flat. Arguably a more memorable villain was one that didnt even face the Arrow - Brick, played by Vinnie Jones. He may not seem like the actor youd normally associate with being a good TV villain, but his performance was just the right amount of his usual Vinnie Jones/Cockney Geezer/hardman schtick, and it worked very well within the context of the show. He appeared in three consecutive episodes and, with Oliver out of the picture, proved to be a real threat to the remaining members of Team Arrow and Starling City. He wasnt the kind of villain who could anchor an entire season, but he was exactly what the show needed at the time.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
