11 Iconic TV Shows That Should NEVER Be Revived

2. Friends

You can't go five minutes without somebody, somewhere, talking about and writing about the possibility of a Friends reunion. You can go even less than that without somebody knocking up an obviously fake trailer that fools idiots on Facebook who actually believe it's already happening.

Though it's easy to mock the demand for more Friends, it's not difficult to understand why the hunger is so ravenous. It's one of the most beloved shows of all time, and it appearing on Netflix was enough to count as proper global news.

As the cast have been repeating for years though, a Friends reunion wouldn't do anyone any favours. Hanging out with the gang would provide some comfort, but at this point they're all old, and the show would have to be radically altered to accommodate for that.

It would be sad to pick up with the cast 15 years later if none of them have matured or progressed. Trust me, there's not enough nostalgia in the world that could make a mid-fifties Joey pulling the same tricks he was known for in his prime charming.

That said, if you do change the formula, when does it stop becoming the Friends we all know and love? There'd be so much riding on it being the revival viewers imagine in their minds, but sadly that's simply impossible.
