11 Iconic TV Shows That Should NEVER Be Revived

6. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the most influential shows of all-time, acting as the basis of pretty much every supernatural-themed drama which followed. It also propelled creator and writer Joss Whedon to the top of the cultural zeitgeist, with his brand of witty dialogue and emotional storytelling inspiring a bunch of copycats.

Despite having an ending that tied everything up, a continuation has always been bandied about, partly due to the legacy of the show, but also partly because you could see the original cast adopt an older, mentor roles for a new string of heroes.

That said, the problem here is similar to Firefly in that that while the cast might be up for returning, the filmmakers and writers probably wouldn't be - and it would be nigh-on impossible to recapture Whedon's voice without him. Sure, you could adapt the comics which he had a hand in but those got a little, shall we say, un TV like, and probably wouldn't work on screen.

Look, all I'm saying is that if the studio managed to f**k up bringing the show to blu-ray, what chances does it have of bringing it back to the small screen?
