11 Important Things To Remember About Game Of Thrones Before Watching Season 7
1. Jon Snow Is Lyanna Stark And Rhaegar Targaryen’s Son
After managing to fend off Ser Arthur Dayne, a young Ned Stark dashed into the Tower of Joy and found his sister all bloody and dripping in sweat. Surprised by what was happening, Lyanna suddenly put a baby in Ned’s arms and asked her brother to promise to look after it. Keeping the baby’s identity a secret by pretending that it was his own bastard, the baby, with its brooding eyes, was named Jon Snow.
Even though it was a theory which existed since the first book, it is important to remember that the season 6 finale finally confirmed it.
It establishes that Jon Snow is the main character of the franchise due to being a song of both ice and fire, plus it gives him a solid claim to the Iron Throne, even if he may not yearn to protect the Seven Kingdoms from its thorny seat.
Leaked pictures have shown Jon and Daenerys finally meeting up; two pivotal figures who may or may not know that they are related by blood at that instant.
If they do learn of it, then what will happen? Will it be Bran who informs Jon of his true lineage? Or will Jon's true identity be kept a secret from him until season 8?
