3. Young Justice: Outsiders

From one group of teenaged heroes to another now, and it's fair to say that fans are very lucky to see Young Justice again.

Having been cancelled in 2013 on account of a lack of toy sales (seriously), fans of the show have been crying out for something similar for some time now. Animated shows have come and gone, but now - almost out of nowhere - a third season is one the way. Featuring returning characters and new additions in Static and Spoiler, Young Justice: Outsiders promises to examine the fallout of the second season and follow the team as they take on a whole new threat, showcasing the different generations of the DCU with the mature approach the show's first run was originally typified by.

Young Justice's brilliance lies in finding that balance, and with the same showrunners returning for this new season, there's definite cause for optimism. Add to that the fact we're getting Static on the small-screen again - over a decade since his original animated series - and you only improve the formula that made the show resonate with so many in the first place.

It's been a long time, but when a show's this good, you know it's worth the wait.
