11 Simple Fixes That Would Have Saved Marvel's Iron Fist
7. Don't Have Colleen Fall In Love With Danny
Colleen Wing is one of Iron Fist's saving graces, the best of the show's characters with an excellent performance from Jessica Henwick, proving bad Game of Thrones actors can convince in the MCU.
She's strong, brave, more convincing in the action department, has relatable struggles while everyone else is complaining about their billion dollar company, and generally a badass.
And yet, even she can't escape the show's writing issues. Making her a member of the Hand could've been an effective twist (even if it wouldn't make the group too much more interesting overall), but the show undercuts it by having her turn against her 'family' for Danny, a man she couldn't stand a few episodes ago. As well as this, she readily goes along with all of his ideas, despite the fact they make little sense.
She's an excellent supporting character, and would've made an even better lead, but by having her become Danny's love interest and go along with whatever he wants, it completely undermines her character.
