11 TV Moments Everyone Was Waiting For (That Never Happened)

10. Silence Of The Lambs - Hannibal

There are Hannibal stories, and then there's the Hannibal story. Silence of the Lambs is the most well-known of the bunch because of the Jonathan Demme movie, but it's also the best of Thomas Harris' novels, and something 'Fannibals' were robbed of seeing on the TV series.

It's not one singular moment, but the idea of what Bryan Fuller and Mads Mikkelsen could've crafted together out of Harris' book is a tantalising prospect, with Fuller himself confirming that's what a fourth season would be based on should it ever happen (which it won't).

It means we were robbed of seeing some of Hannibal's most iconic moments and terrifying acts, alongside his meeting and torment of FBI Agent Clarice Starling, which would've had the opportunity to grow over the course of 13 episodes rather than just a couple of hours, and to bring Will into the story too (whereas he was simply referenced in the book). Hannibal Lecter, Will Graham, AND Clarice Starling all on screen together? Now that would've been a feast.
