11 TV Shows That Deserved Another Season

1. The Comedians

FX

And finally, here's a very recently departed show. R.I.P FX's The Comedians, 2015-2015. The sitcom, which starred Billy Crystal and Josh Gad (the snow man from Frozen) as fictionalised versions of themselves, seemed set for big viewership numbers based on star power alone. Though it quickly developed a cult following among a very specific subset of comedy fans, unfortunately that wasn't nearly enough to keep it on the air.

While the first season had its faults (often relying too much on cynicism or existing comedy tropes), it seemed to be getting to a good place by the end...just in time for cancellation. While The Comedians may not be the best show on this list, its failure is probably the most surprising. With two popular and likeable leads and the backing of FX, which rarely misfires ratings-wise, it had been one of the most anticipated comedies of last year. Maybe if it had got that second season it would have grown into the show many had hoped it would be.

What TV shows do you think were cancelled too soon? Shout out in the comments.
