11 TV Shows That Deserved Another Season

7. Life On Mars

Life On Mars was unlike anything else on TV. A surreal take on the police procedural, the show contained time travel, bizarre comedy, incredible performances and one of the better soundtracks ever to grace our screens. Yet it somehow only lasted two seasons.

The show's concept was so popular that it was remade in America, Spain and Russia. Fans were devastated by the short run and the BBC responded by creating a sequel series called Ashes To Ashes. However, despite sharing many of the elements that made Life On Mars brilliant, it never reached the same heights. Unfortunately, the conclusion of Ashes To Ashes clears up many of the mysteries of Life On Mars, effectively closing the door on the possibility of the show's return. Though it was always a long shot regardless - killing off your main character makes a comeback pretty challenging.
