11 TV Shows That Deserved Another Season

The HBO series that launched a thousand swearwords was put to bed after only 3 seasons (and, presumably, 3 million gallons of mud). The critically acclaimed frontier drama ran from 2004-2006 and went out on such a high note that it was hard to believe it was ending. P

art of the reason for the cancellation was said to be disagreements between David Milch, the show's creator/writer, and HBO. Milch was known for being hugely demanding of his actors and crew - the tales of on-the-fly rewrites of entire episodes are legendary. HBO offered to renew the show for a shortened season but Milch declined.

Since then talks have repeatedly surfaced about one or two feature films to finish things off. Earlier this year Milch was revealed to be writing the script for a TV movie, and while there's no date for it yet, there's hope that this time it may actually happen.
