11 TV Shows That Just Got Renewed

ITV loves its detective dramas and Grantchester has earned itself a place among the British network's best. However, it has also endeared itself to American audiences through its broadcast on the PBS network in the U.S. And it shows absolutely no signs of slowing down - regardless of the fact that its original co-star James Norton is no longer part of the show.

Built upon its detective-and-vicar-solve-the-crime format, the procedural hit a crossroads ahead of Norton's departure, but the show's popularity saw ITV choose to keep it going by writing out Norton's Reverend Sidney Chambers - but not before introducing his replacement, Tom Brittney's Reverend William Davenport, to keep Robson Greene's DI Geordie Keating company.

Though a divisive decision, viewers continued to tune into the fourth and fifth seasons and it has clearly paid off because ITV recently commissioned it for a sixth series.
