4. Naruto - Akatsuki
Naruto is a long-running anime that has latched onto popular culture so much that it seems to have become a flag bearer for the whole medium. A big reason for this success comes from its loveable leading characters, but perhaps an even bigger one comes from its cool-as-hell villains. When picking among them, how could you not go for the Akatsuki?
The Akatsuki are a squadron of rogue Ninja who operate on their terms. They exist to do as they please and attempt to make the world a better place - in their own twisted way. While their deeds are often evil, there's something so delightful about the idea of having power and being allowed to do what you want. This is likely why so many Naruto fans are drawn to the gang.
The organisation itself is also overflowing with awesome Shinobi, all of which have unique powers, abilities and visual styles (at least, underneath the cloaks). There are some amazing Ninjas in there, like Orochimaru, Itachi Uchiha, Kabuto Yakushi, Obito Uchiha, Madara Uchiha, and somehow, even more.
They may be evil, but how can you not root for a line-up like that?
