12 Awesome TV Shows You Can Only Watch Once

12. Supernatural

Supernatural cast

Ok, this one is technically cheating since Supernatural is still running, but for most true fans of the show, the story ended after the epic Season 5 finale €œSwan Song.€ And to rewatch the show to its current point would be a task worthy of Hercules.

The quality has steadily declined since the end of Season 5 and the departure of Eric Kripke as showrunner. Since then, there have been a few bright spots (€œThe French Mistake€ is one of the show€™s best episodes and the Deanmon arc, although short lived, was enjoyable), but most of the output has been mediocre, at best.

It simply is not worth sitting through the 200-plus episodes again. Had the show ended with Season 5, it would be regarded as one of the finest supernatural dramas of all time, but it has more than worn out its welcome now.

Perhaps just stopping after Season 5 and pretending that all of the events afterwards are part of Sam'€™s hallucinations in the pit is the best alternative.
