12 Awesome TV Shows You Can Only Watch Once
11. How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother endeared itself to fans quite quickly because it was never afraid to be sappy or sentimental. The conceit was clever enough to give the show plenty of material to work with, and the characters were instantly relatable and hilarious to watch. Who didn't love Barney's life lessons or Ted's nerdy passions?
Everything went swimmingly until the final season, where the mother was finally introduced, and everything was set for the grand finale.
Despite this, the writers inexplicably decided to set the entire season over the course of a two-day lead up to Barney and Robins wedding, before speeding through years of plot development in the series finale. The ending incited fans who felt that the writers had practically negated the entire series with the final plot twist as to who Ted would end up with.
Individual episodes are fun, but rewatching the entire show would be pointless, since the ending renders a lot of the stories that run throughout pointless. It was a fun and emotional ride while it lasted, but the less said about the ending, the better.
