12 Awesome TV Shows You Can Only Watch Once

10. Spartacus

Spartacus Blood And Sand
Starz

Spartacus was never a ratings darling during its run, but it maintained a steady quality throughout. The mini-series is adrenaline-pumping and viscerally entertaining, with plenty of sex and violence to keep viewers entertained. Essentially, it was the Game of Thrones before the actual Game of Thrones.

It'€™s incredibly sad to view the show now, as lead actor Andy Whitfield passed away following the first season after a bout with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. His replacement did an admirable job, but there was still an air of tragedy that hung over the show.

It still has great quality and entertainment value, but watching the show in its entirety is simply too depressing with the production€™s tragedy in your mind; you simply cannot help but watch the first season with a sense of dread in your mind. Its run was short and sweet, although each season on its own is hugely enjoyable, but watching the show in a straight run is too brutal and sad to be a good time.
